This 10 piece cookware set will handle most of your cooking needs. It contains a 5 quart covered Dutch oven with a glass lid. There are also a 2 quart and a 1 quart covered sauce pan, both with a glass lid. There are 2 different sauté/fry pans. One is 7.75 inches and the other is 9.75 inches. The lids help maintain the moisture and nutrients while cooking. Since they are glass, you don’t need to keep lifting them up and letting the moisture and nutrients dissipate into the air to see what’s going on. There is also a 10.5 inch square grill pan and a vegetable steamer.
The riveted handles are strong and sturdy and are made out of silicone. They are ergonomically designed to give a comfortable grip. The pans can also be placed to bake in the oven up to 350 degrees. The entire set comes with a limited life-time warranty.
The thermo-spot technology tells you when the pan is perfectly heated. With this technology you know when to add the meat so you can seal in the flavors. There are heat channels on the underside of the pans to ensure even heat flow. The lids on the set have vents on them to keep the food from overflowing. The metal interior is exceptionally durable and metal utensils can be used. It has a safe, nonstick coating that does not contain any lead, cadmium, or PFOA .
The cleanup is very easy with just a cloth or paper towel and a little soap. Since it is non-stick the residue just wipes up.
One owner said they “liked the way the set stacked easily in her small apartment”. She commented on how they cooked so evenly, which she found to be an important benefit.
Another owner that doesn’t cook that much really appreciated how the pan could get really hot, but the food didn’t burn or scorch. They also said cleanup was like a “white tornado”, meaning that it hardly took any time at all. They also liked the glass lids and being able to see how the food was progressing.
Another home chef said they thought that for the money the quality of the product was second to none. They particularly liked how the heat indicator in the middle of the fry pans would turn red and then you knew it was time to add a small amount of oil and then whatever they were cooking. They commented that once you start using the heat indicator, you will always use it because it really works well.
The overall agreement was that the quality of the pans for the price could be beat.
One person thought that the fry pan was not deep enough. Another complained that since the handles were silicone they couldn’t be placed under the broiler. There was one owner disappointed about not being able to place the pans in the dishwasher. And there was one person who thought that the surface wasn’t really non-stick.
