Apple-Blueberry Crisp Dump Breakfast

Another dump recipe!

This one is for breakfast.  This is great if you have company.  Just mix everything together the night before and then bake in the morning.  It couldn’t be easier and it couldn’t be tastier.

This can be cooked in a foil pan with no clean up at all.  Or it works well in a metal pan lined with foil, or works beautifully in one of your favorite Le Creuset Bakeware items.

INGREDIENTS:

apples6 apples peeled and sliced ( can substitute canned apples)

2 cups blue berries (fresh or frozen)

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

1/4 cup orange juice

1/2 cup biscuit baking mix

1/2 cup old fashioned oats

1/4 cup cold butter

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

If using fresh apples, peel and slice

Divide brown sugar into 2 1/4 cup containers

Cut cold butter into small pieces ( keep cold)

Spray baking dish with nonstick cooking spray

Cooking Method:

Combine apple, blueberries, 1/4 cup brown sugar and orange juice in baking pan.  Toss to mix and spread evenly.

Combine baking mix, oats, the other 1/4 cup brown sugar, butter, cinnamon and ginger in a mixing bowl.  Combine with fingertips until coarse crumbs form.  Sprinkle over fruit mixture.

Preheat oven 375 degrees.  Bake 45 minutes or until apples are tender and top is golden brown.

This can be served hot with a side of whipping creme  or syrup for the ultimate breakfast.

These dump recipes can’t be beat when having company or a busy weekend.  Make them up ahead of time and then just pop in the oven for fast, delicious, homemade meals.

Options:  You can substitute strawberries, raspberries, or blackberries for the blueberries, or add a mixture of berries.

Pears can be substituted for apples.
